More recently, he returned to early-stage startups as CPO/CTO at companies including Forge (AI + AR for construction), Hopps (SaaS marketplace), and Luminopia (digital healthcare).
Chaki holds PhD and SM degrees in Computer Science from Harvard, an MBA from MIT Sloan, and a BS in Computer Science from Northeastern University. He was also a visiting researcher at MIT Media Lab. His academic research focuses on interactive sensor networks, multi-agent systems, mechanism design, and human-computer interaction.
